NCR allows consumers to withdraw money from ATMs with mobile
The new software from NCR allows consumers to initiate a cash withdrawal from their mobile and complete the transaction at an ATM by scanning a 2D barcode. The system will make ATM transactions faster and more secure by removing cards and pin numbers from the equation. The entire transaction, while the consumer is in front of the ATM will take less than 10 seconds. Authentication will happen in the mobile application consumers have on their phones, available on iOS or Android. The consumer can choose the amount they want to withdraw anywhere, any time and receive a 2D barcode, which they scan at any participating ATM’s home screen and the pre-staged cash transaction will be authorized and funds dispersed.
