Mobey Forum is an industry association for financial institutions operating in mobile financial services. It is led by banks, but includes members from the entire community of mobile money.
Established in 2000, we bring together leading financial institutions, mobile handset manufacturers, payment processors and vendors. We are all committed to accelerating the mass-market deployment of user-friendly mobile financial services by promoting open and secure technology standards.
Driven by our membership, we produce comprehensive analysis on the recommended architecture for a wide range of mobile financial services. We cut through the complexity with strong collaboration across the MFS ecosystem and build frameworks for options to win the market in next generation MFS.
Mobey Forum is driven by business-oriented practitioners and decision makers. We are technology-agnostic and an independent thought leader with a practical approach.
Members have early access to Mobey Forum’s industry insight, research, technical information and other resources, including early access to all workgroup papers and to papers sent to us for evaluation by liaison partners. Members also benefit from the members’ area of the Mobey Forum website, which includes discussions, materials and an extensive archive of presentations from past Mobey Member Meetings.
Mobey Forum disseminates key and timely MFS industry information through a regular Member Update and a monthly News&Views to all Members.
Mobey Forum consists of a large industry network in which Members can make new connections through the course of their work.
Mobey Member Meetings provide an excellent platform for networking and building new business relationships. Mobey Forum’s workgroups and task forces bring together industry leaders who would not be otherwise engaged with each other. Participants in both the workgroups and task forces are intimately involved in, and contribute to, these engagements.
Being ahead of the curve: influencing the MFS industry
Mobey Forum workgroups are actively creating a common understanding of business opportunities, trends and challenges of various MFS areas.
The groups undertake an in-depth analysis of selected content areas, aiming to solve the remaining barriers inhibiting the development of a successful MFS ecosystem.
Mobey Forum has liaison partnerships with several industry associations with varying depth of involvement. The most active partnerships are with the EPC (European Payments Council), GSMA and NFC Forum with whom Mobey Forum shares knowledge through workgroups and member meetings.
